The Voice set for a MAJOR shake-up as ‘Kylie Minogue and Keith Urban will join for all-Aussie panel’

The Voice set for a MAJOR shake-up as ‘Kylie Minogue and Keith Urban will replace Kelly Rowland and Boy George for an all-Aussie panel next year’

The Voice is reportedly set for an ‘all-Aussie’ panel next year to help clamber its way back to the top of the ratings chart.

The singing series, which was previously the number one show in Australia, has been continuously pipped to the post by MasterChef Australia this year – leaving frustrated network executives planning to ‘reinvent themselves’.

American singer Kelly Rowland and British icon Boy George are said to be on the chopping block, with New Idea reporting that Nine have their sights set on Australian mega-stars Kylie Minogue and Keith Urban.

This season of The Voice Australia has already been heavily disrupted by the global COVID-19 pandemic, with Kelly and Boy George unable to re-enter Australia.

On top of that, the considerable drop in ratings has placed them behind MasterChef, prompting worried executives to plan for a new direction next year.

An insider tells the site: ‘I think they will try and reinvent themselves with two new Aussie judges and use “All Aussie Voice” as a tagline for 2021.’

Furthermore, the execs are aiming high as they are said to be working on bringing in pop princess Kylie and country superstar Keith to join existing judges, Delta Goodrem and Guy Sebastian.

Viewers will no doubt be delighted to see Days Go By singer Keith, 52, back on the judging panel, after he was one of the original coaches on the show’s debut series in 2012.

‘Keith Urban is top of their list as he was loved the first time around. And he and Nicole [Kidman] can easily return home, being Aussie,’ the insider explains.

Can’t Get You Out Of My Head hitmaker Kylie, 52, has also had experience on one of the plush red leather seats, serving as a judge on season three of The Voice UK, and even replacing Delta during her one-season hiatus in 2014.
